Celebrating one of the UK’s leading indie publishers for experimental fiction and innovative poetry, Hesterglock Press, this event saw the Kingston launch of SJ Fowler’s 11th poetry collection The Parts of the Body that Stink, alongside some of the extraordinary writers which make up the publishers list, including those visiting from the United States and Belgium. Alongside these readings were three brand new, made for the night student collaborations, exploring the potential of performance literature and collective writing practice. Created by nine Kingston undergraduate students as a special project, these performances rounded off a dynamic and typically varied night bringing together staff, students, local and visiting writers.
